His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Council members Major General Sultan Al-Aradah and Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, returned today, Tuesday, to the interim capital, Aden.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), His Excellency the President praised the achievements made in the field of economic and financial reforms, which were the result of harmony and coordination among state institutions at all levels.

The President reiterated the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to build on these successes and to move forward with the comprehensive reform program that has led to a noticeable improvement in the national currency’s exchange rate, basic commodities, and to strengthening the independence of the Central Bank in managing monetary policy.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the Council’s keenness to continue working with the government and local authorities to improve the efficiency of public services, combat corruption, and maximize public revenues. He also stressed the Council’s commitment to implementing the recommendations of the Council’s supporting bodies, as well as those of regional and international partners, which in the coming days will yield further breakthroughs and promising partnerships.

His Excellency the President, in this context, praised the role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and their economic, developmental, and humanitarian interventions. These efforts contributed to the state’s continued fulfillment of its imperative obligations and to containing the humanitarian crisis exacerbated by the terrorist Houthi militia’s attacks on oil facilities and shipping vessels.

Saba News Agency has learned that His Excellency the President and the Council members will hold extensive meetings with the government, the Central Bank, local authorities, and relevant entities to coordinate plans and policies aimed at strengthening the path of comprehensive reforms. These meetings will also focus on working in a team spirit to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people in toppling the coup of the terrorist Houthi militias, backed by the Iranian regime, and in restoring state institutions, security, stability, and peace.
