President Al-Alimi Holds Phone Call with President of Djibouti

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, spoke the phone today, Friday, with His Excellency President Ismail Omar Guelleh of the brotherly Republic of Djibouti.

During the call, the two sides discussed the distinguished fraternal relations between their countries and ways to enhance them across various fields. The two presidents further addressed regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

On behalf of himself, the members of the Council, and the government, President Al-Alimi expressed deep appreciation for the stance of the brothers in the Republic of Djibouti in support of the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership. This includes the generous facilitation provided to Yemeni residents and travelers transiting through Djibouti, reflecting the deep-rooted historical and fraternal bonds between the two nations.

For his part, President Ismail Guelleh reaffirmed his country’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government, as well as its steadfast position alongside the Yemeni people and their aspirations for security, stability, and peace. He emphasized Djibouti’s commitment to enhancing bilateral coordination to address common challenges and to continue providing all possible support for Yemeni nationals.
