President al-Alimi praises the role of al-Mahra

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Monday, at the Republican Palace in Al-Ghaydah city, with the women's sector from Al-Mahra Governorate, in the presence of the governor of the province, Mohammed Ali Yasser.

The President of the Presidential Council expressed his happiness in meeting with the women's sector from Al-Mahra, and highly applauded the significant contribution of the women to the development drive in the governorate of al-Mahra and the changes that have taken place in the governorate and the whole country across various levels.

His Excellency confirmed the keenness of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government to further promote the participation of women politically and economically, protect their rights guaranteed by the constitution, national and international laws, and ensure women's leading role in the peace-building and making the desirable change.

His Excellency stressed women’s crucial role in empowering generations against interrelated risks, including discrimination, extremism, racism, promoting the values of equality, and social justice.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Council, Major General Saleh Al-Maqalih, the Secretary-General of the Local Council of Al-Mahra Governorate, Salem Neimer, and the Deputy Governor, Mokhtar bin Awaid.
