President of Leadership Council Returns to interim Capital, Aden
Aden
His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, returned today, Sunday, to the interim capital, Aden, accompanied by Prime Minister Salem Saleh Bin Buraik. This follows a fruitful official visit to the Russian Federation, during which His Excellency held bilateral talks with His Excellency President Vladimir Putin and senior officials in the State Duma and the Russian government.
During his foreign tour, His Excellency also participated in both the Arab and Economic summits held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. He held consultations in Riyadh with brothers, friends, and regional and international stakeholders regarding the latest developments in Yemen and the region, and ways to alleviate the living conditions worsened by the terrorist attacks of the Houthi militias on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.
A source at the Office of the Presidency stated that the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with fellow council members, will continue efforts to strengthen the government’s role in addressing the economic and humanitarian crisis caused by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.
The source confirmed that His Excellency the President will, in this regard, hold meetings with the government, local authority leaders, and relevant entities to coordinate on policies and plans aimed at advancing comprehensive reforms, improving public revenues, curbing economic and service deterioration—particularly in the electricity and water sectors—and supporting the battle for liberation and the restoration of state institutions.
The source also praised the fraternal stances of the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and their humanitarian and development interventions, which have helped the state continue to meet its essential obligations and thwart the terrorist militias’ plans to plunge the country into a comprehensive humanitarian crisis.
