President Al-Alimi Receives Cables of Congratulations from President of Germany on National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a cable of congratulations from His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, on the occasion of the 35th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, May 22.

The cable stated: "It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations to Your Excellency and to all citizens of Yemen on the 35th anniversary of Yemeni unity."

His Excellency added: "This year's National Day celebrations come at particularly challenging times for your friendly nation, as the region continues to experience persistent tensions and fragile stability."

President Steinmeier further reaffirmed his country's commitment to continue providing resources to the United Nations and other relief organizations to assist the Yemeni people, while exercising utmost vigilance in areas controlled by the designated terrorist Houthi militia.

The German President concluded by reaffirming Germany's continued support for the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government, as well as standing in solidarity with the Yemeni people in their aspirations for security, stability, and peace.
