President Al-Alimi Praises Russia’s Firm Support for Yemeni People and Their Constitutional Legitimacy

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Thursday, Dr. Yevgeny Kudrov, the Chargé d’ Affairs of the Russian embassy to Yemen. They discussed latest developments in Yemen and the region, as well as international issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kudrov conveyed to the President  of the Presidential Leadership Council the greetings of His Excellency President Vladimir Putin, along with his best wishes for good health and happiness. He further extended President Putin's wishes for security, stability, and peace to the Yemeni people.

In turn, president Al- Alimi  entrusted the Russian Chargé d’Affaires to convey his greetings to President Putin, along with his wishes for Russia and its friendly people for further progress and prosperity.

The president of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the longstanding and distinguished bilateral relations between the Republic of Yemen and the Russian Federation, affirming the shared commitment to advancing these ties toward broader horizons of fruitful cooperation and coordination across various fields.

Furthermore, His Excellency the President commended Russia's steadfast position in all international forums in support of the Yemeni people, their constitutional legitimacy, and their national institutions.

The meeting addressed areas of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, as well as the agenda of President Al-Alimi’s upcoming official visit to the Russian Federation at the end of this month.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, the Director of the Presidency Office.
