President al-Alimi confirms commitment to inclusive peace and praises efforts of Saudi mediation

  RIYADH:

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council received today, Monday Charge D'Affaires of Chinese Embassy to Yemen Chaw Ching.

 The meeting touched upon mutual relations between the two friendly countries and means of expanding them in political, economic, commercial, educational and cultural fields.

The meeting also tackled lates developments in Yemen and regional and international efforts to revive the political process and needed Chinese pressures to enhance peace chances under the Iran- backed Houthi militia's stubbornness.

President al-Alimi confirmed commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to inclusive and just peace on the bases of the  locally, regionally and internationally agreed upon references led by Security Council's Resolution No. 2216.

For his part, the Chinese diplomat confirmed his country's support to the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government and working on providing different forms of support to alleviate humanitarian suffering on Yemeni people.

He also confirmed his country's support to UN-led efforts for reaching an inclusive political solution to Yemen's crisis. 

The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi.
