President Al-Alimi Meets with Consultation Authority Presidency & Political Component secretaries-General
Riyadh
His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a meeting today, Tuesday, with Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Authority, along with his deputies Abdul Malik Al-Mikhlafi, Sakhr Al-Wajeeh, Jamila Ali Raja, and Akram Al-Amiri, as well as the secretaries-general of the political parties and components within the Authority.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing recent local developments, as well as regional and international changes, and the necessary efforts in light of these shifts to achieve the desired transformation in the decisive battle to restore state institutions and end the humanitarian suffering exacerbated by the terrorist Houthi militia’s attacks on oil facilities and maritime shipping vessels.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council welcomed the leadership of the Consultation Authority and the political parties and components, considering them as vital pillars of the Republican alliance and its legendary resilience against the Houthi-led Imamate project and its backers.
President Al-Alimi highlighted a significant positive shift in the international community’s stance, describing it as one of the outcomes of the joint approach to correcting misleading narratives about the Yemeni issue. This includes presenting the legitimate government as a close partner to the international community and exposing the militias as a constant threat to international peace and security—not a peace project.
His Excellency said, “Together, we have presented the aspirations of the Yemeni people in the best possible manner, with a new narrative that calls for peace, security, development, equality, and active partnership with the international community.”
He added, “Today, we have encouraging elements of strength to shift the balance of power on the ground, foremost among them is the unity of all national components around a common goal and a shared enemy.”
The President praised the broad national alignment and the readiness of the armed forces, security units, and all military formations to engage in the liberation battle.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council also briefed the Consultation Authority, political party leaders, and component heads on the economic, service, and financial challenges facing the country due to the ongoing halt of oil exports, the fluctuations in the national currency’s value, and the measures taken to contain these issues and improve public revenues.
He also commended the crucial role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, noting that their economic, developmental, and humanitarian support has been a decisive factor in enabling the government to fulfill its essential obligations.
President Al-Alimi further praised the efforts of the security services in thwarting the Houthi militia’s attempts and destructive plans to infiltrate the internal front in explicit collaboration with terrorist organizations.
The meeting also discussed the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in recent periods to address national-level issues, including approving a new strategy for the coming phase and completing the related political, diplomatic, and media guidelines.
His Excellency reaffirmed the Council’s openness to all realistic initiatives and visions that can help manage the new developments in favor of the state-building project that meets the aspirations of all citizens.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Presidency Office.
