President Al-Alimi Praises Progress in Yemeni-Mauritanian Relations

Today, Sunday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received His Excellency Mr. Zein El Abidine Mohammed Ould Taleb, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Yemen, on the conclusion of his tenure as Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, in the presence of Council Member Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani.

The Mauritanian Ambassador conveyed to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council the greetings of his brother, His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, along with his best wishes for the President and Council members' continued health and well-being, as well as peace and stability for the Yemeni people.

In turn, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council entrusted Ambassador Taleb to convey his greetings to His Excellency President Ghazouani, along with his best wishes for good health and happiness, and for the brotherly Mauritanian people’s continued prosperity and progress under President Ghazouani’s wise leadership.

President Al-Alimi commended Ambassador Ould Taleb’s diplomatic efforts in strengthening the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations, wishing him success in his future assignments.

Discussions focused on enhancing and developing bilateral relations across all levels, as well as coordinating positions on regional developments of mutual interest.

His Excellency the President noted the distinguished relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, praising the honorable positions of the Mauritanian brothers in support of the Yemeni people, their legitimate leadership, and their aspirations for the restoration of state institutions, security, stability, and peace in Yemen.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Presidency Office.
