President of Leadership Council Receives Turkish Ambassador

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Wednesday, at Al-Ma’ashiq Palace, Mr. Mustafa Polat, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure as Turkey’s ambassador to Yemen.

The President praised Ambassador Polat’s diplomatic efforts in strengthening the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, wishing him success in his future professional endeavors.

His Excellency also commended Turkey’s supportive stance towards the Yemeni people, its political leadership, and their aspirations to restore state institutions, peace, and stability. He also highlighted the role of Turkish humanitarian and relief organizations in alleviating the humanitarian suffering in Yemen.

Furthermore, President Al-Alimi expressed Yemen’s appreciation, both government and people, for the facilities granted to the Yemeni community in Turkey, including hosting thousands of Yemenis seeking a safe haven from the oppression of the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia.

The meeting also touched upon the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for enhancing and developing them, as well as discussing the latest local and regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Mustafa Ahmed Noman, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
